Happy New Year everybody! Last night I had a real treat, I got to spend the evening Masquerading at the Bibi's New Year Ball in Leeds. My husband was playing in the BandSchwing and for the first time in a few years I was out in town! Children tucked up in bed being looked after by a babysitter and me wobbling round in a pair of sparkly heels! Great fun!
Today is the day for new year’s resolutions. For starters, we are following my Dad's example and having a 'dry' January in this house. I'm already pining a glass of wine! Chocolate levels need to decrease for everyone in this family but we have a store cupboard full which needs eating!
For Mini First Aid, the new year holds lots of new classes, a First Aid Training Day for 15 teachers at Moorlands School, Paediatric First Aid training for more lovely practitioners at Kids Academy, and open and private classes filling the diary in January and February.
I plan to create some new classes this year, a refresher class for past attendees of Mini First Aid, who want a quick memory jog session, and new idea to offer first aid training to children so parents can be confident that walking home from school, playing out and being a bit further away from Mum & Dad older children know what to do if there was an emergency. More details on this throughout the year, keep an eye on this website and the facebook page for more information.www.facebook.com/minifirstaidleeds.
If you have made New Year's resolutions and somewhere on that list is To Learn Baby & Child First Aid, get in touch! So many people I talk to tell me they have been meaning to come to class. Now is your opportunity.
Wishing you all a wonderful 2015 xx
