Kellie Green, who runs Mini First Aid Shropshire has recently made the move to take her business full time – and she hasn’t even had time to look back!

With a background as a paediatric nurse, Kellie sadly found that once becoming a mummy to Brianna, she couldn’t make her work fit around family life. She’d be leaving the house with Brianna asleep, and return to her already in bed. On originally launching her Mini First Aid franchise in February 2022, Kellie stuck to training parents, carers and grandparents our 2 hour Baby and Child First Aid class. She didn’t stop there:

 
“I started MFA Shropshire to run part time along side my nursing job, however things went from strength to strength and not only was I now making sure that parents were trained in basic baby and child first aid, I found myself teaching children from the ages of 3 years old! Our children’s classes run from Early Years through to Teens, so there is loads of scope for expanding your business with local schools. Looking to take my business even further, after much consideration (and taking on an additional trainer to keep up with class demand) I signed up to do my Level 3 qualification in Education and Training to enable me to run qualification classes. This meant that in July 2022 (just 5 months after launching), I was already in a position to commit full time to MFA Shropshire – all whilst being a hands on mummy as well!

In November 2022 (just a short 9 months after launching) I then decided to take over Mini First Aid Herefordshire and Worcester too!  I'm now growing my team! I currently have 2 trainers working and one going through her training. I also have another 2-3 currently in the application stages, meaning that by the end of the year I'll have a strong team working with me!  As a family we also attend fairs and festivals - we love attending these together whenever we can.  Most of all I'm incredibly grateful I get to do something I absolutely LOVE, I get to work with an amazing team but I also get the much needed family time I craved!"
